While black, they have a warm light brown feel on the toe and shaft. In addition to the slightly distressed look of the round toe, the angular cutout lattice-work of the shaft reveals just enough skin to give off a true bohemian vibe. The heel, which has a debossed Bar & Shield® logo facing the outside, has a distressed look too, consistent with the toe and vamp. Made with full-grain leather uppers, a uniquely placed rear facing YKK® zipper will help in putting on and taking off these boots. The boots are unlined. Flexible rubber outsoles provide everyday comfort, whether walking or standing. The boot’s sole, insole and upper are bound using cement construction processes, a time honored and durable method that allows for a flexible and easy stride.
